A Life Remembered ~ Annette Marvin Esco

Annette was born on 8 February 1913 in Lowndes County, Alabama to parents William Rinaldi. Marvin and Mary Ellen Garrett.

She was raised in Lowndes County and at the age of 17 married Walter Marion Smith (1905-1977) on the 6th September 1929. She had a son James Travis Smith born to that relationship in 1930. Sadly, that marriage did not last and the couple divorced on 9 February 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Annette did find love again. She met and married Sam Earl Esco. They had several wonderful years together before she died at the age of 69.

Annette was a wonderful cook having a talent with seasoning and presentation. Her personality was warm and loving, and she would do anything for anybody. Everyone loved her who knew her.

She was living at 129 Sycamore Drive, Prattville, Alabama when she died. She died on Monday, February 8, 1982 at a local hospital.

Her funeral was held on Wednesday, 10 February 1982 at Ridout's Prattville Chapel with the Rev. J. B. Burt officiating.

At the time of her death several members were mentioned in her obituary: Husband – Sam Earl Esco, Prattville; Her Son – James Smith, Fairfax, Virginia; Three stepsons; One Brother – Jack Marvin, Ft. Deposit; One Sister – Susan Norris, Ft. Deposit; Four grandchildren.
