He had been employed in the maintenance department of Ft. Indiantown Gap. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a sniper and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a NASCAR fan who cheered for Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon. He enjoyed spending time at Penn National Race Track and Hollywood Casino. He was also a life member of the DAV.
He is survived by daughters, Wanda, wife of Keith Lambert and Fonda Civitello and her companion, Denny McCauslin; siblings, Boyd, Johnny, Roy, Oscar, Clara Mae, Joyce and Ruthann. He was preceded in death by brother, Frankie; and sister, Mary Ellen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:30 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will full military honors will be made in the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap.
