Mary Paralee Price was the daughter of Daniel Price, originally from Knox County, TN, and Ann Washington MacFarlane Price, originally from Russell County, Virginia. Daniel Price's grave marker is difficult to read but notes that he, her father, served in the East Tennessee Volunteer Infantry in the War of 1812. He died in 1833 at the age of 44. This would have been when Mary was only about 3 years old.

Mary Paralee Price Arendale married James Blackwell Arendale, Jr. He was the son of Joel Blackwell Arendale, Sr. and Elizabeth Dare. He was a farmer by trade and was a 1st Lt. Company C in the Confederate Cavalry. The 1880 census notes they were living in Marion County, TN. He is buried adjacent to the grave of their daughter, Minnie Susan Arendale Williams, and her husband near Bridgeport, AL.

Their children were:
Daniel Henry Arendale
Joseph Arendale
Minnie Susan Arendale Williams
Lula Arendale

The Prices and Arendales are all buried at the Mount Carmel Cemetery adjacent to Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (it was at one time a Methodist Church) in Bridgeport.

Mary's grave is illegible as you can see but it is adjacent to her husband's which is clearly marked. The graveyard manifest shows that she is buried there.
