Kenneth E. Zoss, 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his cottage at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL. He happily rejoins his beloved wife, Mary and sons Robert, Jerry, and Ron. He was born on August 23, 1928 in Washburn, IL to Elmer and Mary (Reber) Zoss who preceded him in death along with sister Dorothy Hostetler.

Surviving are his children Rick (Phyllis) Zoss of Canon City, CO and daughter Susan (Steve Clayton) of Washburn; two daughters-in-law Mary Zoss of Lowpoint and Dianna Sparks of Chillicothe; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and brother Richard Zoss, Sr. of Washburn.

In his youth he accepted Christ and joined Linn Mennonite Church in Roanoke of which he is still a member. He was a life-long farmer pouring everything he had into the land he loved by Washburn. He was a hard worker spending many hours in his other business of repairing tractors for area farmers as well as working on CB radios for a hobby. He was gifted with an ability to fix almost anything people brought by for his repair, helping out many friends and neighbors in doing so. In his retirement years he enjoyed going out to the Snag Creek Golf Course Lake and riding his golf cart.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Stewart Harmony Cemetery in rural Metamora. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to New Horizon Ministries, P.O. Box 1500, Canon City, CO 81215.
