MACON - Albert Morant Sr., 86, died Feb. 25, 2007. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cluster Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at Lavender's Funeral Service. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Mr. Morant is survived by his daughters, Linda Tate of Bartlett, Ill., Berdia Wayne of Duluth, Ga., and Eretha Franklin, Helena Morant and Debra Jones, all of Macon; sons, Albert and Hugh Morant of Brooklyn, N.Y., J.C. Morant of Queens, N.Y.; Willie and Joe Morant, both of Macon, and Willie James Morant of East St. Louis, Ill.; sisters, Estella Harris of Columbus and Lillie Garner of Kansas City, Kan.; brother, John Morant of Anderson, Ind.; 34 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
