94, passed away November 1, 2014, with her daughter by her side. Grace was born September 1, 1920, to Clarence and Olive Higgins. Growing up in Portland, MI, she graduated from high school there with the Class of 1937. She worked at Michigan School Service and Oldsmobile, and several other jobs.

She married John James Hunt on November 1, 1947; they had two daughters. Grace was involved in many activities at Potter Park United Methodist Church, to include Bowling Leagues, Women's Society of Christian Service, and Administrative Council. She held many positions with Girl Scouts as her daughters progressed through the ranks to Senior Scouts, and she served with the Greater Lansing Safety Council. Grace was a devoted member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She also held several positions in Church Women United over the years, receiving an Award as "Valiant Women of Michigan for 2003". Grace volunteered at the United Nations Gift Shop for over 20 years and served as Treasurer of the UNA Council for many years.

Grace was predeceased by her husband John and her sister Dorothy Lyon, and is survived by her sister Arlene Mead, and her brothers Harold and William Higgins, daughters Marilyn Hunt and Jeanette Hunt (Arnold) Davis, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 1pm at First United Methodist Church in Lansing, 3827 Delta River Dr, Lansing, MI 48906. Family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service and on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E Michigan Ave. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
