Jack Boyd Clark, age 82, of Spring Lake, passed away on July 10, 2017, just shy of his 60th wedding anniversary. Jack was born on February 26, 1935, in Benjamin, Utah, to parents Henry Clifford and Mary Iola Ashby Clark. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1953. He later received his CDL.

He married his sweetheart, Nelva Simpson, on July 26, 1957; they were later sealed in the Manti Utah LDS Temple in August of 1976. Together they had six children: Boyd, Kevin, Brian, Brent, Charlene and Shandra.

Jack loved to work and taught his family the value of hard work. He worked in construction, and sheared sheep which was his passion! He also worked his own farm, was a coal miner, and hard rock miner. He enjoyed fishing (especially with his grandson Josh), building horse buggies, working horses and giving rides to others. Jack was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings.

He is survived by his wife, Nelva; his children: N. Boyd (Carol), of Spanish Fork; Kevin (Shae), of Elk Ridge; Brian (Roxanne), of Heber City; Brent (Jill), of Spring Lake; Charlene (Kent) Brailsford, of Payson; and Shandra Camara, of Payson; 24 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren with one on the way; seven great-great grandchildren; a sister, Carol Francis; and two brothers: James (Christine) and Paul (Emily). He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clifford; and sister, Joann.
