Dale Freeman Bevans, 79, of McAlester, died Wednesday, July 11, 2017, at Walnut Grove Living Center. Dale was born on Nov. 14, 1937, in Hartshorne, to Joner and Ethel (Hoggatt) Bevans. As a young man, Dale moved to California. He joined the United States Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1959. He remained in California until 2012 when he returned to his home in Oklahoma. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Joner and Ethel Bevans; wife, Bonnie Bevans, and brothers and sisters, Murlin Bevans, Joe Bevans, Alma Lozano, Vonnie Bedner and two infants.
