Martha J. Zufall, 89, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at her residence.
Born February 2, 1928 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Alice M. (Cooney) Russell.
Her marriage was to Edward Oliver Zufall on October 1, 1966 in Lafayette. He survives.
Martha was a service worker at Purdue University for 12 ½ years and had previously worked for National Homes and was a member of the Carpenters Union.
She was a member of Brookston Federated Church, AARP, and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and quilting.
Surviving with her husband are four sons, Virgil E. McCorkle of Bolingbrook, IL, Clyde A. McCorkle of Lafayette, Michael Zufall of Maryland and Edward O. Zufall Jr. of West Lafayette; two daughters, Deborah Richey of Omaha, NE, and Karen C. Steele of Lafayette; sister, Mary R. McKnight of Plainfield; 13 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death with her parents are six brothers, Virgil L., Paul E., Hubert E., Max O., Milton L., and Harold Russell; and four great grandchildren, Dinah Zeck and the Huber triplets.
