"Mrs. Lucinda Maxwell Murphy was born in Polk County, Missouri on July 4, 1837.
She was united in wedlock to William Thompson on October 4, 1856.
Her husband and five children preceded her in death a number of years ago.
She was later married to Timothy Murphy and to this union four children were born, three of them being deceased.
Mrs. Murphy had been a patient sufferer for some time and death came as a relief at 4:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, November 29, 1910, at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 25 days.
There left to mourn her lose:
an only daughter, Mrs. Frank Francis of Cambridge; also a step-son who resides in Goodwin, Kansas; and three sisters
and four brothers.
Funeral services were conducted from the home of the daughter.
Rev. D.O. Hopkins officiated, with interment in the Cambridge cemetery."
