KASSON -- The funeral for Armond Paul Kautz will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Grace Lutheran Church in Dodge Center, with the Rev. Robert Lentz officiating. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery in Concord.
Mr. Kautz, 86, of Kasson, died Saturday (Feb. 24, 2007) at his home.
Born Nov. 26, 1920, in Dodge County, he grew up in the rural West Concord area and attended local schools. He married Dolores DeFlieger on June 17, 1943, in Dodge Center. The couple farmed in rural West Concord until 1965, when they moved into West Concord. He drove a school bus and semis, and worked for the city of Mantorville before retiring. A member of the Model Airplane Club, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and driving in the countryside.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carol (Marvin) Hoffman of Stewartville and Cheryl (Brian) Ashelin of Kasson; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
