She was born to the late Hazel Turner and Beatrice DeVinney Turner on March 20, 1934 in Rutherford County.
Jean was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and at church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles McFarland; a grandson, Shawn Biddix; three sisters, Marilyn Foster, Jewel Stanley and Ruth Anne Caraway.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with Reverend Burt Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
