Frankfort - Charles Ellis Howe, 54, of 708 W. Boone St., died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Clinton County Hospital a short time after suffering an unexpected heart attack.

He was a native of Frankfort and after working 22 years for the former Milner Provision Company, he was a salesman for Columbia Hog and Cattle Powder Company. He was married to Ruth Marie Cohee in 1929.

Surviving with the widow are four sons, Paul Eugene, Carl Leroy, Charles Richard and Keith Gordon of Frankfort; seven sisters, Mrs. Leona Denton and Mrs. Zora Brumbarger of Frankfort, Mrs. Florence Karrenbouer of Massillon, Ohio, Mrs. Alma Bond of Farmington, Ill., Mrs. Ona Pickerel of Noblesville, Mrs. Mary Luger of Indianapolis and Mrs. Laura Deiterle of Jackson, Mich., and three brothers, Jesse of Dearborn, Mich., Willard of Massillon and Carl of Seattle.

Friends may call at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, after 2 p.m. Sunday. Services there at 10:30 a.m. Monday, the Rev. L.E. Schmittler officiating. Interment in Bunnell Cemetery. Six grandchildren and nieces and nephews survive.
