Emily was the daughter of Grover Cleveland DANIEL and Pearle G. FASSETT. She moved to the Grantsburg area with her family when she was three years old and helped her parents on the Daniel Seed Farm. She attended local public schools and graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1935.

On November 18, 1938, she married Floyd Melvin DROHMAN in Grantsburg. They purchased Cloverdale Farm, which she continued to operate after Floyd’s death in 1958. She secondly married James Jay Randolph (on December 7, 1959). In 1969, Emily graduated from nursing school. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Continuing Care Center of Burnett Medical Center well into her seventies. Emily was widowed a second time in 1991.

Emily was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Grantsburg (originally known as Central Methodist Episcopal Church). She sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. She served on various committees and was past president of the United Methodist Women. When her children were young, Emily was active in 4-H. She volunteered at the local food bank, served as an election judge at the local polling place, and was involved with the Grantsburg Senior Center.

Emily enjoyed making music. She played the guitar and harmonica, and she was able to to play the piano by ear. She played the piano at the Continuing Care Center into her ninety-fifth year. She embroidered, drew with colored pencils, gardened, cooked, and sewed. She was wise, loving, and always showed a positive outlook on life.

She was survived by two sons, three daughters, a sister, 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was at Central United Methodist Church, with Pastor Kris Johnson officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery next to her first husband, Floyd Drohman, the father of her children. Her sons and grandsons were the pallbearers. Funeral arrangements were by Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg.
