James E. (Jim) Bailey, 75, of Lady Lake, FL passed away peacefully, June 24, 2017, following a brief illness with his family by his side.

Jim was born in Parkersburg, WV on October 26, 1941 and was the son of the late Robert Ronald and Florice Emily Allen Bailey.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had worked for Globe Metallurgical in Beverly, Ohio following 24 years of service. He then was involved with the Automotive Service and Parts industry in Georgia and Florida. He had been a member of the Scenic Hills Lions Club, was a big Pittsburgh Steeler Fans, loved NASCAR and Dirt Track racing. He enjoyed working on dirt bikes. He was also very involved with the Greyhound Rescue Group. He graduated with the last graduate class of Vincent High School in 1960.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Bailey, son, Don (Amy) Bailey of Washington, WV, daughter, Jonell (Walt) Buskirk of Belpre, daughter, Amy (Erik) Gillespie of Acworth, GA, son David (Whitney) Bailey of Canton, GA, brother, Charles (Lucy) Bailey of Belpre, sister, Janet Waggoner of Vincent, Ohio, brother Eugene (Deborah) Bailey of North Carolina, brother, Rick (Kim) Bailey of Fruitland Park, FL. Surviving are his grandchildren, Kinzie Bailey, Alyse Bailey, Zachary (Dawn) Buskirk, Jacob Buskirk, Qwentin Gillespie, and Shian Gillespie, several nieces and nephews and his dogs, Shaker and Rusty.

Services will be on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Tim Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Barlow Cemetery.
