William Franklin Campbell was born in Christian County, Missouri on July 19, 1871, the son of Thomas and Sarah Campbell. He passed away at his home near Rogersville on December 31, 1950. He lived his entire lifetime in the Rogersville community. He was united in marriage on September 17, 1894, to Miss Alice (Minnie) Wills, who preceded him in death on July 13, 1944. To this union were born six children. In 1927, he was converted and united with the Smyrna Baptist church and was a faithful member until his death. Surviving are his five daughters, Mrs. Wade Anderson, Mrs. Paul Witmer, Mrs. Jack Freymiller, Mrs. Clifford Cobb, and Mrs. George Miller; one son, Rex Campbell; three brothers, Charley, Lee, and Clarence Campbell; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Gardner, Mrs. Ed Kelley and Mrs. George Eslinger; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the chapel at the Chaffin Funeral Home in Ozark with Rev. Floyd Hanks of Springfield conducting. Burial was in the Pembina cemetery.
