Robert Newman Parrish, 53, of 634 Georgia Ave, passed away Dec. 21, 2004 at his residence. He was born Dec. 14, 1951 in Reidsville to parents Lumas Parrish and Pauline Redding. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Helen Hampton and Shalline "Shibbie" Parrish Carroll and one brother, John Ricky Parrish. Mr. Parrish is survived by his wife Pamela Taylor; his children, Kimberly Taylor and Lee "Butterball" Taylor; his stepchildren, Robert Taylor Jr. and Sheila Wilkins; a sister, Patricia Ann South; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral was conducted on Friday, Dec. 24 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Barry Boatner officiating. Interment followed at Youngs Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Stroup, Mathew Stroup, Donald Locklear, Lee "Butterball" Taylor, Jerimy Chavez and Marshall Ballew. The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
