Cleo P. Merryman was born on November 1, 1937 to John and Evelyn (Beck) Mullin in Cherokee City, Oklahoma. She departed this life on June 26, 2017 in Pryor, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 25 days.

Cleo grew up and attended school at Centepoint and Colcord. On September 8, 1962 she married Joe Merryman. In 1963 they made their home in the Chouteau/Inola area and she worked in the home caring for her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church in Claremore.

Cleo loved making desserts for her family and was famous for her apple pie, orange slice cake and her chocolate delight dessert. She loved being involved in church activities, traveling and going to auctions. She also enjoyed collecting Fenton glassware. More than anything, she loved her family and spending time with them was her greatest joy. She was a very special lady who was loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, of the home; four children and spouses; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister and husband Norman and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Evelyn; two brothers Raymond and Bob; three sisters, Agnes, Pansy and Mildred; one grandson Daniel and one great grandson Timothy.
