Felix William Galbreath, 48, of RFD 2, Vidalia, and an Army veteran of twenty-two years, died at his residence Friday evening, following a brief illness. The long-time service man, served World War II, and the Korean Conflict. He was a native of this community and a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church. He was a son of W.H. Galbreath, deceased, and Mrs. Kate Galbreath.

Funeral services were held on Monday from the New Corinth Baptist Church, with Rev. G.D. Ricketson and the Rev W.E. Thompson, conducting the last rites. Interment was in the Galbreath Cemetery, with the Frank Murchison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Members of the Toombs County Unit of the National Guard acted as pallbearers.

Full military honors were accorded the retired soldier by a complement of servicemen from Fort Stewart in Hinesville.

In addition to his mother, survivors include, two sisters, Mrs. M.M. Booth, Jesup, Mrs. Tom H. Tippett, Vidalia, Rt. 2; five brothers, H.B. Galbreath, W.D. Galbreath, T.W. Galbreath, I.D. Galbreath, all of Vidalia, and Theron Galbreath, of Canada and several nieces and nephews.
