Son of Chester Charlie MAST and Carrie Lou HARMON. Married Linda Mast.

Douglas Charles Mast, age 66, of Buckeye Road, Elk Park, died June 20, 2017 at home. He was born November 7, 1950 in Avery County. Doug was a US Army Veteran having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Mast; two children, Doug Mast, Jr., of Vilas and Crystal Underwood and husband Mark of Elk Park; two granddaughters, Montana Underwood of Vilas and Cheyenne Rupard and husband Clay of Chesapeake, VA; two grandsons, Micah and Asa Mast and their mother Kena Mast of Boone; one great granddaughter, Chloe Rupard of Chesapeake, VA; one foster brother, Jackie Harmon and wife Janice of Sugar Grove; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall and Larry Mast.

Funeral services held at the Beech Valley Baptist Church. Burial with military honors provided by American Legion Post 130 at the Beech Valley Cemetery.
