CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kenneth L. Adams Sr., 74, of 736 S. Second St., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born April 24, 1933, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Grace Noll Adams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Eckstine Adams, in 2001.

He owned and operated Adam's Upholstery in Chambersburg for 15 years, retiring in 1983.

He attended King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.

He was a member and past president of the Miniature Carousel Club.

He is survived by two children, Kenneth L. Adams Jr. of Chambersburg, and Linda Gossert of Fayetteville, Pa.; one sister, Shirley Aul of Greencastle, Pa.; two brothers, Charles Adams and Earl Adams, both of Greencastle; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Steven Adams; one sister, Margaret Kline; and one brother, Paul Adams.

Services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Revs. Lester F. Stine and Clinton Bingaman will officiate. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
