Mrs. Betty F. Chisamore, age 76, of Heth, died Monday at her home in Heth. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. Chisamore was born December 11, 1938, in Big Flat, Arkansas, and was the daughter of James Howard Sutterfield and Johnnie Rae Kyle Sutterfield. She lived in New York most of her life and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Chisamore married James Chisamore in 1982, and he preceded her in death in 2012. She is survived by three daughters; Betty Shafer of Syracuse, New York, Rita Lopez of Heth, and Rosemary Hardwick of Vancouver, Washington, two sisters; Kaye Louise Werre of Mountain Home, and Mary Griffith of Nampa, Idaho, her mother, Johnnie Rae Sutterfield of Mountain Home, seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchldren. She had two children, Duane Haddock and Tonya Gonzales, who preceded her in death.
Her wishes were to be cremated and she will be buried beside her husband in the Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Syracuse, New York. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the on line registry.
