Denise Sprouse, 45, passed away at Hospice House on Sunday, June 4, 2017, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Sprouse; grandparents, William (Ed) and Ludie (Tweet) Morris; and a special uncle, Calvin Gibson.
She is survived by her brother, Wendall Sprouse of Earlysville; and her best friend, David Boggs of Baltimore Md.; and many other family members and friends.
Denise graduated from Fluvanna County High School in 1990, attended PVCC, then transferred to Longwood University graduating in 1996. Denise was currently employed at UVA Pediatrics (Battle Building) and had previously worked at UVA Bookstore, Northridge Pediatrics, UVA Cardiology, Food Lion and Walmart.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. at City Church, 1010 Rio Road E. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Denise's name to Hospice Of The Piedmont for Hospice House, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville VA. 22911.

With this special relationship, Denise gained four other siblings, Pam, Yuvonne, Carl, and David.

Denise graduated from Longwood College in 1997 with a Masters in Education. She leaves behind many special friends, to know her was to love her. The Gibson family will host a Celebration of Life at the Collinswood Community Center off Route 6 on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 2 p.m.
