Mrs. Bedenbender passed away at her sons home on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Oak Grove.
A time of visitation will be held from 2 PM until 8 PM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street, Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Harold "Snooks" Bedenbender; her parents, Luther Forest Harper and Mary Frances Fails Harper; her son, Zachary Bedenbender; and 5 brothers and 10 sisters.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Paula Bedenbender of Oak Grove, Louisiana; granddaughter and her husband, Hope and Shane Ray of Oak Grove; grandson, Clint Bedenbender of Oak Grove; grandson, Damien Bedenbender of Oak Grove; 3 great grandchildren: Seth Ray, Ellie Kate Ray and Emmy Anne Ray all of Oak Grove; brother, Johnny Harper of Flowery Branch, Georgia; brother, Emmett Harper of Hayward, Wisconsin and sister, Faye Nell Barnes of Oak Grove.
