A native of Rockford, she graduated from West High School, and later, Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. Marjorie continued her education obtaining a PhD in Philosophy.
Marj was a lifelong artist and belonged to the Studio Artists Group in Rockford. She loved music and was an accomplished piano player. She also loved ballet, and knitting with her special friends in Knit One Purl Two.
Marj is survived by: son Thomas R. Wright Jr. (Lori); daughters, Lisa M. Slabaugh, Kate Scott Herzog, and Sarah Scott Winter; grandchildren, Erin Hamrick, Kelly Slabaugh, Isabella and Madison Wright.
Marj was predeceased by: parents; and grandson, Chase MacLaren Slabaugh.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Rockford.
