Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Cotter Funeral Home in Momence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dave Simonson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Sherburnville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the organization of the family's choice.
Mr. Hunte was born April 10, 1912 in Momence to the late Dietrich and Frieda Hansen Hunte. He married Elizabeth Clifton Sept. 9, 1941 in Momence. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Clifford and Sandra Hunte of Kankakee, Bruce and Sandy Hunte of Momence and Philip Hunte of Bradley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Lawrence Wolford of Momence, Katherine and Edward Covington of Kankakee and Kimberly and Gregory Borggren of Kankakee; a sister Arlene Bakker of Lansing; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Leon Hunte of Momence.
Three brothers, two sisters and a grandchild are deceased.
A retired farmer and lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Hunte served as a Kankakee County committeeman for the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation for 30 years. He was a seed corn salesman for Frye Hybrid Co. for 50 years and a past school board member of the Lake Country School in Momence.
