Stephen "Stip" Serensits, 78, of Northampton passed away peacefully Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg surrounded by his loving family. Stephen and his wife Priscilla (Dischinat) celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 10th. Born August 2, 1938 in Northampton, he was the son of the late August and Anna (Malits) Serensits.

Stephen worked at Martin Marietta (Dragon Cement) and then at Pet Foods/Pillsbury for several years. Stephen honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church. Stephen loved spending time with his family and looked forward to his daily walks and daily visits to the chapel for a time of private prayer.

Survivors: wife, Priscilla; sons, Stephen J. Serensits and his wife Brenda, David Serensits and his wife Katie; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Edward and Frank; sister, Anna Keller; many nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his brothers, August, Joseph, Louis, Luke, John, Rick and Charles and sisters, Helen, Theresa, Agnes and Mary.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 14th at 10:30 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Wednesday 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial with military honors will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.
