Luke "Snug" Serensits, 92 years of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Feb. 14, 2016. He was the husband of Marie (Marth) Serensits for 70 years on February 9th. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late August and Anna (Malits) Serensits.

Snug served with the US Army during WW II as a Medic and German translator, being honored with 1 silver and 3 bronze stars. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Luke was a longtime oil deliveryman for Reichenbach's.

Survivors: beside his wife; son Kevin and his wife Alice (Kochanasz) of Whitehall; grandchildren Kelly and Luke; sisters Anna Keller and Mary Sipics; brothers Edward, Frank and Steven Serensits; niece, nephews and their families; predeceased by 10 siblings.

Services: His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday Feb.17, 2016 in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave. Whitehall, PA 18052. His viewing will be from 9 to 9:45 am in the Church foyer. Interment with Military honors will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton. Gilbert Funeral Home of Whitehall is honored to handle his arrangements.
