Sixteen-Year-Old Married Woman Passes Away At Her Home Here. Buried In Stafford.
Mrs. William Smith, 16 years of age, died at her home on Main St. Wednesday morning after a brief illness, leaving an infant son, only one week old, her husband, William Smith, her mother, Mrs. Mary Haines, of Stafford, and five sisters. Prior to her marriage Mrs. Smith was Miss Florence Haines, of Stafford.
The remains were taken to Wheeler & Thompson's undertaking parlors, where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Captain Lloyd Lumsden, of the Salvation Army, and with special musical numbers by the Cadets of the Salvation Army.
Interment took place later near White Oak, Stafford county, in which section the deceased lived prior to her removal to this city.
