History from the Halvorsen Family - Priscilla Martin immigrated with Samuel Martin on 23 November 1850; The passenger list for the ship James Parnell (SLC 200165) is sworn to on 23 Nov 1850, that they came to the port of New York. The list included Samuel age 36, Priscilla age 34, John age 9, Ellen age 7, Fanny age 4, Priscilla age 10 months, John age 67, and Sarah age 65.

Per the bio of Cutler Halverson the Martin family came on the ship "James Pinnell" from Liverpool to New Orleans, then to St Louis where they lived four years (& where wife Priscilla died), then to Atchison KS where they joined a Mormon group to Salt Lake City. They lived in Grantsville (Tooele Co) and Kaysville (Davis Co) and Deep Creek (Ibapah, Wendover Co) in Utah, Montpelier (Bear Lake Co) in Idaho, and settled in Oakley (Cassia Co) Idaho in 1881.

Between 1850 and 1854, Priscilla Martin resided: spent four years in St. Louis with family, then joined wagon train from Atchison, Kansas to Salt Lake City, Utah.

She married Alpheus Cutler Worthington, son of James Worthington and Rachel Staley, on 2 July 1874 at Oakley, Cassia Co., Idaho.

Priscilla Martin appeared on the 1910 census as the head of household, ED 113 sht 9a # 63-74, Oakley, Cassia Co., Idaho along with Maude Z Worthington, Frederic Worthington Halverson and Cutler Worthington Halverson. Her info on the census included: Worthington, Prescilla 61 b. England widowed, immigrated 1880, keeper boarding & lodging, owns home free of mtg.

Priscilla Martin died on 28 March 1921 at Oakley, Cassia Co., Idaho, at age 71 per obit which also says she was born in 1855 making it obvious that she fudged a bit about her age.

Priscilla Worthington - Word was received in Salt Lake this morning of the death of Mrs Priscilla Worthington, 59, which occurred at Oakley, Idaho, yesterday, after a lingering illness. Mrs Worthington was a much beloved woman, always ready to help the sick and needy and was a faithful worker in the L.D.S. church. She was the widow of Cutler Worthington and is survived by one daughter, Mrs Maud Halverson of Oakley, and a grandson, Worthington Halverson. Funeral services will be held in Oakley at 3 pm, Wednesday, March 30.

Her obituary was on 31 March 1921 at Deseret News pg 5, 2nd section, headline:

Oakley, Ida. March 31. - Funeral services were held in the Cassia stake tabernacle yesterday afternoon for Mrs Priscilla Martin Worthington, widow of A. Cutler Worthington who died Monday afternoon after an illness of three months.

Mrs. Worthington was born at Bedfordshire England, in 1852 and emigrated to Utah with her parents in 1855. She lived in Grantsville and Kaysville Utah, and Deep Creek and Montpelier Idaho before settling here in 1881. Her husband died in 1908.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maud Z. W. Halverson of Oakley and two brothers and one sister; Lorenzo Martin, Jackson Hole; John Martin, Preston; and Mrs Fannie Kearl, Logan Utah.
