Mark S. Fuhrman
Mark Sylvester Fuhrman, 77, Jefferson's mayor for 12 years, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at his home, 18 Berlin St., Jefferson. He was the husband of Amy (Kessler) Fuhrman.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6 York St., Jefferson, with burial in Jefferson Cemetery.
Mr. Fuhrman was born in Manheim Township, the son of the late Edward and Minnie (Miller) Fuhrman.
He is survived by five daughters: G. Florine Meredith, 107 Mumma Ave., Hanover; Rosa M. Luckenbaugh, 19 Berlin St., Jefferson; Fay H. Wagaman, Monticello Ave., Jefferson; Pearl A. Wintrode, 406 Spring Forge Drive, Spring Grove; and Dawn I. Tarbert, 368 Tollgate Road, York; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Curvin Fuhrman, The Brethren Home, Cross Keys, and Ira Fuhrman, 700 Maple Ave., Hanover.
