John L. Frerichs, Native of Tracy, Summoned
*************************************************

Friends will pay a final tribute to John L. Frerichs, a native son of Tracy, this afternoon (Thursday) when services will be held from DeMark Memorial chapel at 2 o'clock under the auspices of Tracy Parlor, Native Sons of the Golden West.

Born at Tracy on September 4, 1872, Mr. Frerichs had lived in Byron for the past 46 years. Early in his business career he operated a livery barn in Tracy on the site that is now occupied by the Grand Theater. He died Tuesday, December 55, at his home in Bryon.

The son of well known pioneer parents, Mr. Frerichs was a charter member of the Tracy Parlor, NDGW. He took an active part in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the parlor, an event that was held in 1942. Before the death of his wife, Anna Meta Frerichs in August 1943, the 50th anniversary of their marriage had been celebrated.

Graveside services at Tracy cemetery will be conducted by Roy Frerichs Post, American Legion, of Brentwood. This post was named for his only son, Roy Frerichs, who lost his life in World War of 1914-18. He was the fosterfather of Celma Beaman of Antioch and the brother of Henry A. Frerichs and Bertha McGee, both of Tracy.
