MRS. COLLINS, FORMER AREA RESIDENT, DIES

Olga Matilda Collins, 79, Missoula, former area resident, died Sunday morning. Funeral services have been set for 10am Wednesday in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel with the Rev. Glenn G. Husby officiating. Burial will be in Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell Wednesday at 2pm.

Mrs. Collins was born October 26, 1887, in Final, ND and graduated from high school there. She attended Valley City Normal School and graduated in 1909 and taught school in North Dakota for one year before coming to Bigfork by stagecoach in 1910.

After teaching in Bigfork, she moved to Kalispell in 1916 and to Missoula in 1933. She was married to Grover Collins in Bigfork September 26, 1911. He died in 1954.

Mrs. Collins is survived by two sons, Oscar and Rudolph both of Missoula; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Genevieve) Wilhelm, Hay, Washington, and Mrs. Floyd (Marcella) Harrison, Libby; three sisters, two brothers, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
