DeMERCHANT, Leo Suddenly in Ft. Myers Florida, on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the age of 80. Born in South Tilley, NB. Leaves to mourn his wife Dorothy, who was a loving wife, best friend and angel from heaven for 59 years. Most loving and devoted dad of Robert (Joan), Brian (Pat), Brenda (Brent), and the late Carol Jean. Cherished grampy to 8 grandchildren, and great-grampy to 14 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Perry and Pricilla DeMerchant. Brother of Marguerite, Stewart and Stephen. Predeceased by brothers George, Bernard and Jack. Will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 7-9 p.m., and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday March 10, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, Florida, 33909, or to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
