Bert Harmon 1902-1980

Bert Beniah Harmon, 77, Bagley, died Monday evening at Greensview Nursing Home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28 at 2:00 P.m. at the Landstad Lutheran Church in Shevlin with Pastor Dennis O'Niel officiating. Burial in the Bagley City Cemetery.
He was born July 22, 1902, at Havelock, Iowa to Ernest and Mary Harmon and moved to Shevlin in 1923. He married Ida Syverson on February 23, 1929 at Shevlin.
They spent their early married live in Iowa returning to Minnesota, in 1930 residing Keewatin. They moved back to Bagley in 1965.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Carol (Mrs. John Olsen) of Staples and Nancy (Mrs. John Johnson) Kalispell, Montana; also two sons, Alvin of Bagley and David of Clearbrook; two brothers, Jerry of Bagley and Chester of Algona, Iowa; four sisters, Alice Grass of Hayfield, Minnesota; Mabel Syverson of Bagley; Idella Lawe of Highland, California; Helen Morton of Kissimme, Florida; nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
