OBITUARY: Rodney Timm, Nov. 16, 1934 ~ May 26, 2017 - reprinted from the Keehr Funeral Home website

Rodney Timm, age 82, of Cady Township, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Comforts of Home, Hudson, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Wilson Lutheran Church, Wilson, Wisconsin. Burial in the church cemetery.

Rodney was born November 16, 1934 at Menomonie, Wisconsin to Emil and Evelyn (Hanson) Timm. He attended Spring Valley Schools and graduated with the Class of 1952. After high school, he farmed the family farm in Cady Township. In January 1958, he entered the U.S. Army and served for two years. He returned home to farm and also worked hauling logs for several years for Madson Lumber Company and worked construction for Floyd Helgeson. He did painting and ceramics for 30 years and operated Pine Ridge Ceramics in Cady Township. On June 21, 1978 Rodney married Mary (Werner) Samuel at the Wilson Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by parents; sisters Mildred Timm and Dorothy Brorson; and brother Dennis ‘Denver’ Timm.

He is survived by his wife Mary of Menomonie; step children: Jeff (Kari) Samuel of Spring Valley; Julie (Cliff) Palm of Menomonie; grandchildren: Steven and Mitchell Samuel; Trevor, Derek, and Cody Palm; brother Jerry (Sandy) Timm of South St Paul; sister Arlys (Don) Olson of Menomonie; in-laws Arnold Brorson of Spring Valley; Jan Timm of Menomonie; and Gerald (Jane) Werner of Minong; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers were Becky Holman, Chrissy Druley, Dawn Wood, Duane Brorson, and Deanna Powell. Pallbearers were Dustin Timm, Delmer Blegen, Allan Faber, Trevor Palm, Derek Palm and Cody Palm.

Military Honors provided by Matson-Miller American Legion Post 330 of Wilson.
