George Wesley Ware, age 86, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born October 14, 1930 in Lincolnton, GA, and was a son of the late Fred and Lila Drinkard Ware.

He was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Toccoa, and retired from The Bank of Toccoa after many years of service. Mr. Ware was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Family members include his wife, Yvonne Cadle Ware; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kris Ware of Milton, GA, Brent and Lisa Ware of Toccoa, and Clay and Stephanie Ware of Jefferson, GA.; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday, May 27, 2017 at The First United Methodist Church of Toccoa with the Reverend Jerrell Beatty, and the Reverend Dr. John Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Air Force.

Members of the Rotary Club of Toccoa will serve as pallbearers;
