Mrs. Devena B. Atkinson, 72, of 1202 N. Ellis died yesterday at St. Francis Hospital.
Mrs. Atkinson owned a N. Adams Street grocery store 32 years.
Services will be Monday at Wilton Mortuary and burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
She was born in Peoria Jan. 13, 1904, a daughter of James and Nettie Smith Rose. She married William J. Atkinson on June 1, 1922, in Peoria. He died Nov. 1, 1965.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Margaret R. Gillen of Peoria, with whom she made her home; and one son, William of Morton; and one sister, Mrs. Betty M. Guzman of Garden Grove, Calif.
