Mrs. Nettie Rose

Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie B. Rose, 79, of 111 Fairview Rd., Sun Valley Addition, RR 4, Peoria, who died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at Proctor Hospital where she was admitted Dec. 24, will be at 2:30 p.m, Thursday at the Wilton Mortuary.

The Rev. E. L. Fernandes of Arcadia Avenue Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetary.

Friends may call at the Mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. today.

A resident of this area for 75 years, Mrs. Rose was born at Bloomington, Dec. 25, 1883. She was a daughter of John (Christopher Adam) and Curance Merritt Smith, and was married to James Rose in Peoria, Nov. 27, 1900. He died here June 8, 1933. She was a life member of Old Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Devena Atkinson, Mrs. Florence Rose and Mrs. Amelia Dunne, all of Peoria, and Mrs. Norma Green, with whom she had made her home at the Sun Valley address for the last 14 years; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, William Rose, preceded her in death.
