She was a housekeeper and cook for many years for private homes and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Magnus Hendricksen and Abbie May Smith Hendricksen; her husband, Frank S Mattos; two daughters, Patricia Ann McDonough Banks (1939-2013) and Fonda McDonough McElhaney (1948-2010); a son, Earl McDonough; and her siblings, Emily Murphy, Leroy Hendricksen, and George Hendricksen. She was survived by three sons; a sister; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
