John retired in 2006 from Atlas Machine & Supply Co., and was Catholic by faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a great-granddaughter, Candace Metten.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Carol J. (Clark) Cheshire; his daughters, Theresa (Richard DeWitt), Donna M. Phillips (Richard), Susan D. Patrick, and Jacki G. Huelsman (Tommy); nine grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy B. Flowers , and Janet M. Woodward (Robert).
Cremation was John's wish, with private Inurnment at Bethany Cemetery.
