Charles was a step-son of Mr. J. P. Kunkel, was about 20 years of age, and subject to fits of an epileptic nature. He was fishing in Slough Creek, on Mr. K.'s farm, about a mile above the mouth of the stream, on Wednesday afternoon of last week, and his hat being found on the bank near his fishing-pole, search was made in the water near by, and it was not long until the body was found in about four or five of water.
It is presumed, from all the circumstances, that the unfortunate youth had one of the attacks to which he was subject and fell into the stream, where, in his helpless condition, he would easily drown. The remains were interred at Medina the following day.
