Barb is survived by her two loving daughters, Pauline (Norm Conner) McIntire, of Milford and Linda (Eric) LaVoie of Watseka; three adoring grandchildren, Katie LaVoie of Stanley, WI, Ashley (Jeff) Burton of Bloomington and Keanon LaVoie of Iroquois; sisters-in-law, Cheri Noerenberg of Watseka, Geraldine Natschke of Watseka, Shirley Natschke of Sierra Vista, AZ and Lois Messman of La Porte, IN; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Don, preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Beverly Jean Allen and Rosie Gossett; one brother, Louie “Butch” Noerenberg; and one grandson, Brandon Thiele.
Although the victim of a devastating farming accident nearly 20 years ago, Barb did not let it define her life. Barb was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she enjoyed volunteering for the Pre-school; she also taught her granddaughters how to sew, her grandson how to cook and all of them the value of being honest and kind. Barb had many caregivers come into and out of her life and the family is grateful for each and every one of them. Barb’s family was her life.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, scouring every paper for articles, keeping them or sending them on with a little note. Barb also gardened and continued to do so with the help of her loving husband and caring family. Barb was known as “Grandma Farmer” to her grandchildren and all of their friends over the years.
