In addition to his wife, Barbra Natschke of Sheldon, Donald is survived by two daughters, Pauline (Norm Conner) McIntire of Milford and Linda (Eric) LaVoie of Watseka; three grandchildren, Katie LaVoie of Chippewa Falls, WI, Ashley (Jeff) Burton of Bloomington, IL, and Keanon LaVoie of Watseka; one sister, Lois Messman of LaPorte, IN; three sisters-in-law, Geraldine Natschke of Watseka, Shirley Natschke of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Cheri Noerenberg of Watseka; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marvin and LaVern; one sister, Berdella Natschke; and one grandson, Brandon Thiele.
Donald served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka, where he was an usher. Mr. Natschke served on the Woodland Fire Department for many years, helped coach his grandson’s Little League teams, and pitched horseshoes in many tournaments throughout Illinois and Indiana. Don loved the Cubs, his grandchildren, and farming.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. Rev. Donald Love will officiate. Burial will follow at Iroquois Memorial Park Cemetery in Watseka.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Pre-School in Watseka.
