Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Wiedenmann, 52, were held last Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock from the home to the Schultz Funeral home at 1 o'clock with Rev. Paul W. Adix of Luana officiating.
Burial was in the City cemetery [Monona Cemetery].
Mrs. Wiedenmann died Wednesday morning, July 30, at 8:30 o'clock at the Postville hospital where she had been a patient for several weeks. She had been in failing health for several years. Although everything was done for her comfort and health, she showed no improvement during her long illness.
As Clara, she was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Frye at Cassville, Wis., being one of five children. She received her education in the rural schools of her home community. She was married to Charles Wiedenmann, Feb. 16, 1928. Since their marriage they made their home on a farm southwest of Monona.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Charles Jr.; a daughter by a previous marriage, Mrs. Cletus Berns of Harpers Ferry; two brothers, Clarence and Jack, both of Clayton; four grandchildren, seven nieces and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
