Statesboro, GA.-- Mrs. Marion Trapnell Deloach Wotherspoon, age 91, died Monday at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. The Candler County native moved to Bulloch County in 1948. In 1975 she married George Wotherspoon, throughout their marriage they traveled extensively until his death in 2004.

Mrs. Wotherspoon retired from Brooks Instrument in 1978 following 10 years of service. She was a member of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist church where she was a member of the Cora Williams Circle. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member emeritus of the Blue Ray Chapter 121 Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Deloach; her second husband George Wotherspoon; her son David Deloach and a sister Myrtle McLeod.

Surviving is a daughter, Marianne Lackey of Brooklet; a son and daughter in law, Frank and Pam Deloach of Dallas, GA; three grandsons, Richard Lackey of Littleton, CO, Eric Lackey of Telluride, CO and Doug and Laura Webb of Acworth, GA; five great grandchildren and a brother, Morris Trapnell of Metter.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, 4 South Zetterower Ave Statesboro, Ga. 30458. Friends may sign the online register Book at www.joineranderson.com.
