"Ignatius "Nick" Kameno, 78, of the Ortley Beach section of Toms River, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, at home. Born in Newark, he lived in Kearny before moving to Ortley Beach in 1997. He had summered in Ortley Beach for 37 years before moving there. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a Senior Vice President with First Jersey National Bank, Jersey City for 43 years, retiring in 1988. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and enjoyed biking, and kayaking. He was a member of the Hole in One Club. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was predeceased by his son, Michael, in 1956. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Mary "Maureen" McStay Kameno; a son, Donald I. and his wife Fatima of Middletown; two daughters, JoAnn Kameno of Kearny, and Susan Kameno of Ramsey; a brother, Nicholas Kameno of Berkeley; and four grandchildren, Nicole, Marissa, Anthony, and Chelsea."
