Services Held For Lola Iverson
Lola Iverson, daughter of Thomas Roy and Frieda Albers Thomazin, was born February 28, 1911 near Platte Center and died at Fort Collins, Colorado on September 13, 1995. She graduated from St. Edward with the class of 1929 and on September 7, 1929 married Waldo Iverson in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They lived in St. Edward and Columbus before moving to Colorado six months ago. Mrs. Iverson was a beauty operator for many years. She was a former secretary of the St. Edward Woman's Club and belonged to the National Hair Dressers Association. Formerly a member of the Presbyterian Church in St. Edward, she became a member of the Federated Church in Columbus after moving there. Survivors include her husband, Waldo, of Fort Collins, Colorado; two daughters, Ramona Jean of Fort Collins, Colorado and Dorla Dean of Lincoln; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 1995 at Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward with Rev. Mike McInnis officiating.
