Lansdell was the husband to Anabell West Banks and together they had six children. He died from complications brought on by a stroke.

WAYNESBORO, GA.
Lansdell Banks Sr., 64, of St Clair, Ga died Sunday at his residence after a brief illness. Funeral service will be held at the Hopper-DeLoach Funeral Home at a time to be announced later. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. He was the son of the late James R. and Alice Frazier Banks, natives of Burke County, and was a retired farmer and a member of the Brushy Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Anabell West Banks; four sons, Lansdell Banks, Jr., Savannah, SFC John T. Banks, Okinawa, Sp4 Clifford P. Banks, Fort Ord, California, and Seaman James Louie Banks, Miramar AFB, California; three sisters Mrs. Anna Harris, Keysville, Georgia, Mrs. J.F. Goldman and Mrs Irene Lyons, both of Augusta, Georgia; a brother Martin Torbit Banks, Sr., Gough, Ga., 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Hopper-DeLoach Funeral Home until the hour services.

Waynesboro, Ga: Lansdell Sr., 64, died at his residence at St. Clair early Sunday morning. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Hopper-Deloach Funeral Home by the Rev. W. R. Evans. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Waynesboro.
