Greenville resident Oneal Albert Smith died Monday evening at his residence. He was 78.
Graveside services will be today at 3:30 p.m. in Forest Park Cemetery. Rev. Rob Spencer will officiate.
The son of Guy and Bessie McFall Smith, he was born March 19, 1917. On Aug. 1, 1991, he married Alva Decker Smith in Greenville. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the Air Force. He was retired from Greenville National Bank. He attended Texas A&M University and East Texas State University. He was a member of Golden Kiwanis and Westview United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; stepson, James Alton Craig Jr. of Duncanville; and stepdaughter, Elaine Barnard of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Minnie Lee Tarrant Smith on April 28, 1991; and one nephew, Harold Purdue.
